I have been taking "snap shots" for years, thought it might be time to try the photography thing, found Flickr and was totally overwhelmed with the artistry of the eyes behind the lenses of cameras around the globe, was humbled and determined to do my best. It is a learning experience filled with ups and downs, still trying to take advantage of this old Fuji, still trying to understand all its functions, would rather post a photo without the benefits of editing, trying to make the camera see what I saw. I have learned much just viewing some of the work here, amazed by the quality of composition seen in these pages, the artistic talent that some seem to have mastered. It will be a work in progress.
Just recently aquired a Pentax K200D, have some SLR lenses from the ME Super days collecting dust, wanted a chance to use them esp. the APO-Sigma 400MM, still bring the Fujifilm S9000 for back-up, just in case.
