I have been inspired by photography ever since the death of my daughter in 1989. I did not realize I could have captured more of her short four and half months on this earth had I only taken more than ten pictures of her.

For me, you never know when you capture a moment in time with a photograph that it may be the last day that person is here on earth. You never know what your photography means to a person twenty years from now when they do not have the person here in physical form. To give back a physical piece of someone to remember mentally twenty years from now is the greatest gift of immortality. The feelings rush in, the smells of that day mentally come back into your mind and you are taken back to that moment, sad or happy, you're taken back to remember.

That is what photography does to me - capturing a glimpse of a soul for eternity - whether it is a soul in a person, animal or thing - everything has energy and life to capture.
