Hello and thankyou for visiting.

I've dabbled in photography and art for many years but family and work pressures led to a 15 year hiatus where I had very little output at all. This ended when I took up digital photography about 4 years ago with the purchase of a small point and shoot compact camera. Since then I've used another compact, a bridge camera and a secondhand 5 year old DSLR to explore the digital processes.

My knowledge of digital techniques is still on an upward curve, my work is frequently experimental and I probably have an unhealthy liking for the many art filters available in most software so the images I produce may occasionally get a bit OTT, however I just see this as part of the learning process.

Along the way, thanks to much encouragement from Sylverdali, I discovered Fractal Art and this is now as much a part of my artistic interests as photography. You will find occassional forays into this medium in my photostream.
