By definition, I am a "young" photographer under the standards of the internet, much less the amazing photo sharing site of flickr. Being a resident of Montana, born and raised to say, I have a tendancy to get out on the road often and get my hands dirty. That means getting off into the wilderness that so conveniently lives right out our door. My home is located in the Flathead Valley which is amazing Northwest Montana.


I have been taking photos since I was 10 years old. Seeing the photos my older brother Elliot had taken at his age then, I wanted to have my own pictures to show around. I started with an old hand down film camera. The point and hoot was a fun little thing and survived my early years. I then moved on to a SLR film camera. The Cannon Rebel 2000 had plenty more manual functions but I had not yet gotten "in depth" with the the full use of the camera, but nonetheless was a step forward. My next camera could be then considered a step backwards since it was a Cannon Powershot. The point-and-shoot though, had a full set of manual settings. It was my first digital camera. From that I learned about the power of the manual functions and what could be done with it. The camera survived two europe trips, skiing in -20 degree weather, and countless times being dropped onto cement. At this point I was starting to take interest in photography and the beauty you can get out of it. Even if it was a simple handheld camera. When the thing finally broke down, I decided it was time to step it up a notch. I worked through the summer and finally bought myself a Cannon 400D DSLR. Soon after, a 55-300 mm telephoto lens for a larger variety of shots. I love to shoot for the fun of it, you can always do something new with a camera.

This photo has gotten me the most attention so far, I took this shot in Prauge, Czech Republic. I have the full story of this shot in it's profile. It's received close to 9000 views, and is still climbing, slowly but surely.
