I´m an old amateur photographer that lately has turned on to nature photography. The majority of the photos published here were taken inside the Atlantic Forest remains in the region of Vargem Alta, near Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro's state, Brasil. They only have one purpose, which is to show the intrinsic beauty of this very endangered forest, its fauna, particularly birds, and flora. Normally I use Nikon cameras (D40 and D60), either with their standard lenses or coupled to a Nikkor 70-300 AF VR or to a Sigma 120-400 AF VR.
