I freely admit to being much better at shooting the beasts and flowers, but I am trying my hand at taking interesting shots of people too... find it hard sometimes to find folks willing to model for me, or at least without having them spend ages "fixing" themselves first!

I am still very much a photography newbie - have only been using the camera for 4 or 5 years now. Started with a point and shoot, but was encouraged by a fashion photographer I worked with to take a "step up" so bought my first DSLR, the Canon Digital Rebel. Still have that original baby, but have added the Rebel Xti - wow! what a great camera! after being used to a burst of four with a long recovery, to suddenly be able to do a burst of 10, 12... one time I got a burst of 20 shots! And the recovery time... so low! I'm loving this baby.
