I took a photography class in high school, LAST CENTURY. I learned on a Minolta SLR.

Now, I've decided to re-learn some stuff. When my wife and I went to buy a new digital camera to replace our old Kodak EasyShare, we were highly confused by the new digital SLRs. So, we decided on a PowerShot SX110 IS. It seemed to have the automatic and manual settings we were interested in with a decent enough optical zoom.

Bottom line, please offer all the constructive criticism you can! Mayve someday we'll graduate and buy an SLR.
