CLARKE GALLERY
Clarke Gallery was founded in October 2008 by Elly Clarke a week after she moved into her new apartment in Neukoelln, Berlin. Since then she has put on 6 solo shows by artists based in, or associated with, Berlin in some way. Artists who have shown so far are: Christian Sievers (DE), Victoria Lucas (UK), Elly Clarke (UK), Alexander Heaton (UK) and Natasha Wheat (USA). These exhibitions have spanned the mediums of sculpture, photography, participatory projects, hand-rendered inkjet watercolours, painting and artist books. The Gallery began in the living room, but after Elly’s furniture arrived, it migrated to the hall. Clarke Gallery is committed to showing high quality work which can be sold at a reasonable price. Publicity happens through word of mouth, flickr, facebook and now there's a new website just launched: www.clarkegallery.de. Visit the site and sign up to the newsletters to be kept in the loop about Clarke Gallery Goings On.
