I love to play around with cameras. I love flickr and the inspiration it brings. This is a place where I document life around me.
My (now sadly dead) Nikon N80 helped jump start my love of shooting with film. I'm currently exploring the world through my Nikon D40, a Pentax K1000, a gifted Nikon N65, various polaroid cameras, a Holga, and a Yashica Mat G124.
You can also find me on Twitter.

"Claire has become one of my favorite photographers on Flickr; her sensibility and sense of beauty create something beautiful every time she trips the shutter, no matter the subject. Her photos create a world I'd love to live in."

shrosa814 (returning soon) says:
"Claire has a liveliness and spontaneity in her photographs that is refreshing and youthful—not youthful in a ageist way—youthful in a free-spirited, fun-filled way. She photographs everything, if she likes it, she photographs it. That is the way to go, in my view. As a result, she has lots to “hits.” In other words, her efforts work. This is not all due to Claire’s talent, although, she has tons of that. She’s also inherited great genes from her father’s brilliant architectural eyes and her mother’s free spirit and strong sense of social justice. That they have managed to produce a daughter who engages the world with joy and a keen receptivity to discovery as well as an unquenchable thirst for exploring life, and social justices issues, is no surprise.
I love Claire’s eyes—even behind spectacles—her vision is flawless. She has mastered finding the essence of a photograph. Hers are often stripped of nonessential elements. She’s able to turn the simple into something of major worth. She knows how to use lines can patterns to dramatize an image. I have learned a lot from Claire. Her politics, which are spot on, gives a sense of what’s behind her camera’s eye too. Embedded therein is her good heart: her love of nature, her lack of patience with bad architecture (she will still photography it though), her love of animals, her absolute intolerance for any hint of social injustice, her joy at attending a party and photographing friends to her photographs of yummy food. All of this makes Claire a sensitive photographer who has tremendous fun using multiple cameras. Her work cannot be pigeon-holed. If a device can take pictures and looks fun, Claire will take pictures with it. Her approach is experimentation, discovery and always fun.
I am old enough to be Claire’s mother. But when we had a day of tripping the shutter together, I felt like her giddy girlfriend. Seeing through her eyes can keep you young at heart. Seeing the world through various lenses allows her to challenge prevailing perceptions—things can look different through different lenses. Claire is already way ahead of most at seeing anew."17th March, 2009
