Who am I?? mmmmm so much I can say; where shall I start - the beginning seems probably best!

I took my first photograph at Plymouth 'Navy Days' in August 1980 of the 4th HMS Ark Royal whilst berthed near Devonport Dockyard. She was towed away to be scrapped up in Scotland just a few months later. However my real passion for photography didn't start until I become interested in railways (initially becoming the almost archetypal trainspotter). Today instead of taking down the numbers (being an almost reformed character), I take photos - so much more credibility that being a trainspotter, or so I claim to those who ask.

I've just upgraded from the Canon EOS D400 to the 7D, which is quite a step, both financially and from a performance perspective.

To date I have taken countless thousands of railway and non-railway related photos, although away from railways and/or photography I'm an IT Trainer based, at least that's where I'm meant to be working, in the City of London.
