The mission of Combined Joint Task Force-82 is in partnership with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and in close coordination with joint, inter-agency and multinational partners, to conduct counter-insurgency operations to defeat insurgents and increase the competence, capacity and credibility of Afghan institutions.
