Formerly known as Mtnbiker09.
I'm a single male from southwestern PA with a variety of interests including music, Steelers, Penguins, trains, camping, mountain biking, hiking, or pretty much anything outdoors in general. My interest above all others is photography. I am here to share my work with others and to appreciate and comment the photos of others. I am glad for all the new contacts and friends I have met here. Just try to bear with me as sometimes it is hard to keep up with what everyone has recently uploaded. I try to keep my range of photography subjects very diverse. It could be railroads, nature, abandonment, bridges, bike trails, industry. Just whatever I find that is interesting.

The things I really don't care for are Photoshop or HDR. I believe in using the camera itself to take a quality photo rather than doctoring it up with all kinds of software.

My photos are All Rights Reserved unless otherwise noted, and not to be used for any commercial or website posting without my express consent as to how they are being used.

"Our culture is discouraging interests like railfanning. People who visibly do anything outside the norm are no longer just curiosities, they are either publicly-shunned weirdos or threats to public safety and security. Conformity is comforting to the masses. So go be a sports nut at the ol' ball game or at the bar, or hide yourself away in your house to play video games or watch movies. But don't dare do anything that makes people wonder what you are doing. They do not like unknowns, it causes straining of the brain." --- A quote found on Trainorders.com.

IF YOU HAVE NO PHOTOS POSTED ON HERE AND/OR NO PROFILE, OR NEVER LEAVE A COMMENT, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ADDING MY PHOTOS AS FAVORITES. I'M TIRED OF THE PHOTO HARVESTING GOING ON. IT IS A QUICK WAY TO GET BLOCKED.

"I really admire Curts work. He has a way of using creative composition and natural lighting to take a scene that normally would be passed by without much thought and turning it into a work of art. He has a talent to not only see the beauty in something but to show that beauty to others threw his work. The way he can capture light or turn a scene of something abandoned into a work of art amazes me. HIs diverse work from his unique train pictures, to his creative pictures of nature , to the artistic pictures of abandoned things really has become an inspiration to me."

"Curt, fun ride having met you. Obviously great pix, but love them more because I can't visit the old stomping ground today and they conjure up such wonderful memories."
