Cj is an artist, painter, sculpture, sound sculptor and poet who lives and works in the SF bay area. She loves abstract art, folk art and surrealist art...she is a fan of many kinds of food and many different cultures and is inspired in equal parts by Urban Angst, Nature's Peace and Suburban Ambivalence...
She is connected heavily with the experimental musical scene here...and she often can be seen lurking in San Francisco pubs and gallerys listening to noise, Industrial soundscapes and acoustic free-jazz. She plays in the Deth Metal Free Jazz band "Lords of Outland". Her favorite kind of art is the kind that bridges the gap between "industrial" conceptualizations and a re-examining of the flux and boundaries between what is and is not, supposedly, natural.
Favorite artists include: Jackson Pollock, Freida Kahlo, Maya Deren and Don Cherry. Her favorite book is "The Cat Who Went to Heaven". She hopes you like her art !!!
