As one gets older, you tend to look back and try to make sense of your life. That's largely what I'm doing with the posting of photos I took some thirty years ago. Through them, I'm seeing some things more or less as I saw them then. And sometimes that triggers a reconstruction/re-experiencing of old feelings and thoughts that come back with startling freshness. I'm in my sixties now but hopefully I'm still learning about who I am.

For all you others, well, I hope you too will find some pleasure in a visit to a land of images of the way things were.

I think the photos that I took earlier in my life are mostly of a higher quality than the ones that I'm taking now. How to explain that? Partly, I suppose, because I took a ten or fifteen year lay-off from photography. I just lost interest. It took a serious illness to make me decide that I wanted to let others see how I viewed the world. An immortality project, if you will. Just have to see if my eye for pictures returns.
