In preparation of the third edition of the Mexican Film Festival Cinemaztlan we ask Dutch travellers to send in their best photos shot in Mexico to compete in its photo competition 2009. Entries for this competition will be gathered at this website. A special jury will select the best 15 photos for their originality, visual message and for reflecting the themes blocks in which the festival has been divided this year: Prelude to Revolution, Sexuality, Indigenous Cinema and Mexican Panorama. The jury will take into consideration for its evaluation the principles where the film festival stand: to look beyond Mexican stereotypes and to address the way in which tradition and modernity merge in the country.

The winning photo's will be exhibited in De Balie during Cinemaztlan. Take a look at www.cinemaztlan.net for more info on the festival.
