for all those who think some place is better than some place. for all those who can't let go of something that never belonged to them. for all those who have never belonged. for all those who can't sleep at night. for all those who live to dream. for all those who reach for their hearts in sleep. for all those who reach and find nothing. for all those who deny that they shiver. for all those who don't. for all those who have ever tried to inhale and simultaneously hum. for all those who say don't quit your day job. for all those who love to remember. for all those who can't help but forget. for all those who think they're good at what they do. for all those who are. for all those who have attempted to do pushups while standing on their head. for all those who will never try. for all those who have ever said one thing and meant another. for all those with good intentions. for all those who hope to find love. for all those who have. for all those who never learned to whistle. for all those who don't care. for those who have dreamt they could fly and for those who can....

"Despite the fact the Lauren is the subject of many of her photographs, I think of her first as simply "photographer." She can compose and create images that transport the viewer to a special magic place. We are lucky she shares this talent with us on Flickr."

    The Voice of Eye says:

"These days - with the advent of affordable, digital technology - it seems too many people feel comfortable calling themselves photographers, simply because they carry the fastest, fattest, and most expensive camera, or two, or three... or four. But really, so few actually understand what it is to be able to recognize, to create, then capture and share the beauty that the person behind the lens sees, experiences, and manages to fit into and immortalize within a frame of both space and time. Lauren Bentley's talent, her skill, her way of seeing herself and the world that surrounds her, have resulted in images that speak to the viewer of humble esteem, tonally rich beauty, and enigmatic sensuality.

Like myself, I sense Lauren is both passionate and curious, an adventurer into light and darkness who experiences catharsis and ecstasy throughout her process of discovery and art-making. I urge you, the viewer, to stay tuned to upcoming episodes from the Cinema Cowgirl... as for me, this gallery will be one of the very few that I will continue to visit and revisit."

"CinemaCowgirl is a star. Maybe the rest of the world doesn't know it yet, but those who have spent some time viewing her work know what I'm talking about. Her photography often takes us to strange lands with beautiful women (Here's looking at you, kid), and sometimes, corgis. These places are often out of reach of reality. Reality never looked so good after all. Thanks for capturing/creating these images and sharing them with everyone. Undoubtedly, you're making the world a better place. Or maybe you're just creating new worlds. In any event, keep on shining."

"CinemaCowgirl is an incredibly sensual, emotional, and vivid artist. Every image invokes the senses in a way only someone who’s deeply acquainted with them can communicate. After viewing her work, one has the profound sense that they’ve traveled with her into the unfathomable depths of her psyche. They’ve experienced her joys, her sorrows, her complications, and her intimate expressions. Be it a self portrait, an urban cityscape, or a haunting rumination on the natural world. Each holds in it and at the same time equally reflects that wonderful moment of conception that occurred when the abstraction solidified into form.

It’s a completely transcendental experience. One I will enthusiastically replay every time I view a new post, or revisit an old favorite.

Take the sojourn into CinemaCowgirl’s secluded and mystical secret garden of expression. Everything is perpetually in full bloom there and the sights, sounds, and scents are incredibly intoxicating. Be forewarned . . . you won’t return the same . . . and neither has she."

"Cinematic, yes... and the movie is all her.

It is always night, or nearly night in her carefully crafted world, a world I wish I could find in mine. The pure colors, the warm tones, the glowing skin, a nostalgia for an epoch which is a blending of the finest parts of many different decades, all these combine to make each new image something to look forward to. I suggest you keep your attention focused here as her constantly evolving and refining aesthetic results in new images.

Also, she is no island. Her thoughtful and sensitive eye also finds its way to other artists' photostreams, creating an interchange that allows us all to feel more a part of this photographic community called flickr. Thank you, Lauren!"

When I first visited here, I knew that this talented and kind soul would forever be providing us with Magnum Opus after Magnum Opus, and I am willing to bet that most everyone would agree with that.

Certainly a mastermind, sensual, creative, a marvel!, a prodigy!, influential and admirable are only a few epithets that fill her goblet. And not to mention that she is influxually kind!

Continue to create and experiment, my friend, because I want to be taken along for the ride! Shine for always! :)"

"I stumbled upon CinemaCowgirls images a couple of days ago and was instantly a fan. Seeing the world through different eyes is nothing short of amazing while seeing her world through her eyes. Her dramatic sense of self portraiture is so captivating that i find myself checking back often in hopes of something new. You can always tell when by looking at a photographers images when they are truly enthralled in their work. And i see this in ten fold with hers. That and oh yeah... and i would shoot protraits of her in a New York minute."

Once you see one of her photographs you´d like to come back every day to be part of the visual delight she shares with us."
