For licensing any of my photos feel free to write me here on Flickr, via my email address, or write me on Facebook. Thanks for your interest in my work.
I believe in natural explanations for what we see and experience. I believe that things become more interesting as we learn more about them.
I'm involved with several clubs and organizations; NSS (59794), TCS - of which I am the new Meeting Director, and the I am the chair of our local caving club, the Upper Cumberland Grotto.
Aside from photography, I also draw, make computer graphics, web pages, and maps.
I enjoy taking pictures in places that are difficult to get to, like a cave or a wilderness trail, miles from civilization. I find the challenge of getting there, and the technical aspects of shooting very satisfying.
I love to hear from others in the same region or with the same interests, so feel free to drop me a line.

me, alexis says:
"Chuck sees an opportunity to photograph everywhere he goes, and as a fan of his work, I am grateful to him for that.
His work ranges from technical to candid and the colors he is able to capture in his nature photography is magnificently vibrant and at times even emotionally stirring.
I derive a lot of pleasure in watching Chuck set up a shot. He is careful and thoughtful...and his face is a mixture of concentration, determination, and delight. It gives me a sense of peace when I get to be a part of it., even watching from the sidelines.
Chuck motivates me to be a better photographer. He is patient, encouraging, and always takes the time to look at my work and share his opinions when we've returned from an adventure.
I find Chuck's work fascinating. I am lucky to be a witness to it and to be a part of his life. :)"26th December, 2007
