I’m Chris Villarin, a.k.a. BizMan of Manilatonight.com. I started taking pictures when I was in grade 5. I spent one whole summer studying photography, colored and black and white. Digital cameras weren’t born yet, so we used film. At the end of that summer, we had a three-man show, actually it was a boy and 2 girls show. All our photos were displayed at a gallery in UP Diliman as part of the UP Summer Enrichment Program.

I became a graphic artist, had to earn a living and totally forgot my love for photography. It was only when I got a point and shoot Canon that I was reunited with my first love. My first love didn’t mind moving in with my second love which was Photoshop. They seem to like each other very much.

I recently acquired a Nikon D40X and an 18-200mmVR lens. Its not the best camera money can buy, but I read from my favorite website Kenrockwell.com that it's not the camera that makes the photographs, it’s the person behind the camera. Taking this principle further, I use hot lights. Tungsten floodlights to be exact. I compliment these hotlights with High Color Rendering Fluorescents that I assembled. It’s not easy to control but it gets the job done. Which ultimately what counts.
