I am a naturalized citizen of the U.S. who was born and raised in Holland. I speak a bunch of languages and understand a few more. I love to read, and I also write and paint; though, only when the mood strikes me. When I listen to music, it's the United Nations in my home.

In May of 2008, I started using my first ever digital camera, having to learn completely new photography skills, I'm still learning... Because I've been a bit homebound lately, most of my shots are taken in my apartment, from my window, or in the immediate vicinity where I live, in Houston, Texas, my hometown for about 23 years now.

I'm honored if you make me a contact. However, I like to have an on-going relationship with a manageable number of contacts. Therefore, I might not make you a contact right away, or remove you as a two-way contact if there are no regular uploads from your part. Regardless, I will always check to see if there is anything new on your pages -- at least once a week.

Now, if I have sincerely faved or commented on some of your photos, and you made me a contact right away without ever reciprocating -- neither with a simple thank you nor with a courtesy visit to my pages -- and thereby giving the unsubtle impression to either have alterior motives or be a comments-collector, don't even bother.... I will block you eventually. Sorry, but many people are a bit too transparent that way :-)
