I am from sunsets and rose coloured lenses
from waves breaking on the shore
and palm leaves blown by the wind.

I am from chopsticks and soy sauce, dim sum and tea
from scholars, musicians, drinkers of whisky
and the women that loved them all.

I am from the Good Shepherd
who was nailed to the cross
and rose the third day
to bring this lost sheep home.

I am from smiling eyes and a crooked smile
from a waterfall of hair
that reaches for my fingertips.

I am from always alone but never lonely
so long as I have sand beneath my feet,
God at my side
and a flickr'ing, clickr'ing
world at my door.
