  "Christian is a nice and caring person, who has a great talent for writing and who just happens to be a great photographer. He makes me feel fortunate to include him as my Flickr friend.
  
  I chose today to write about Christian, because according to the calendar, it is the first day of winter. Christian lives by his own, more seasonally correct calendar and only his most stubborn Flickr friend has dared to stay loyal to the traditional calendar. ;-)
  
  Through his photography, he will lead you down city alleys turned to golden treasure in the night light. He will share with you his determination to get a shot of that elusive bird and you will share in his glory as he gets not one but many great photos of the heron or hawk or whatever it may be... always in their natural environment. He will lead you to his trusted friend, the maple, and call it "ours" as if sharing it completely with all of Flickr. You will laugh as yet another squirrel threatens his very life and smile as he starts to win them over. You will learn of his daily adventures as you read his wonderful stories, even when your eyes are weary... for you know the story is always worth it.
  
  I can't leave out his comments on your photos. He makes people feel good about their photography and their lives. He sees what the photographer saw and he points out things in the photos that many others have passed by. He takes the time and makes the effort to leave sincere comments.

  "What amazes me about Christiaan is his sincerity that shows so much in his pictures. He walks with his camera in his hand and documents his world, the way he sees it and wants other to see it.
