Christa Pierce. Illustration major. Lover of tea and acrylic paint - but not together. Quirky girl living in Seattle, summers spent in Portland. I'm learning and absorbing all the time. Learning about art and loving it. Grateful to be where I am, and excited for the future.
Right now, I’m using my free time between courses to maintain an art-commentary blog, participate in poster contests such as Hello Poster Show, Enjoy my Publicist/Graphic Design position at SPU, serve on SPU's AIGA student board and continue to learn and stay informed by going to AIGA events. Once my degree is complete I'm excited to use my skills and knowledge to actually participate in the local, national, or global art sphere.
My immediate goals are to graduate from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Illustration and New Pictures. After graduation, I hope to be interning with local Seattle or Portland Advertising companies/Illustrators and beginning to freelance and establish myself as a professional illustrator.
I specifically wish to reinforce art’s relevancy in the eyes of society and empower young people to pursue art as a meaningful form of expression.
