    "I thought about writing this for Chris a long , long time ago and I guess this is overdue ………There are many facets to this gentleman as he is that …and a photographer with a huge social conscience which is why I was first attracted to his stream ……….he has incredible writing skills when he has passion and he integrates it in his photography and his everyday life and reminds us of what the important things are.
    A solid photographer that is capable of pulling up a winner when he wants and a photographer of appreciation who loves his family and makes the most of his photography in his everyday family portraits, which invariably tells a story of his life, but parallels a lot of our lives .........and makes us think of the important things of what truly matters …..a great photographer of social conscience is a very good description in some ways (as mentioned before) of Chris. However if you look at the talent of portraiture of his family and nailing the light perfectly getting those perfect " magazine level " skin tones........you realize how good he really is. ( not that I noticed Duhhhhhh)
    We share much in common with Gadgets and equipment……. and as of this writing we are sharing Nikon as common ground....again......for ever.....(as I have been stupid lately but I am back ) and I appreciate the Camera banter so all in all …………a wonderful stable person who brings humanity , class , a sense of family and major talent to flickr Island.....and knows his equipment well.....a bonus.
    Stability is rare here on flickr Island as we all have our nuances in personality traits …our idiosyncrasies or hang ups we as artists have inside us if you want to excel because photography is such an extension of us .
    Chris brings to the photographic arena a stability that I appreciate and like ...........its refreshing actually, as because of this you realize that he is a person who is not only accountable , and talented . but he is invariably “True”...and thus a great friend to have .
    That is something to truly appreciate in human nature, and to have that mixed with huge talent in photography is a wonderful combination to be associated with.……….Glad I know ya Chris …….yet …….I think MacCallans 30 is still the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha ha ha ………………Howard

    P.S. Put this up on E-Bay Chris as this is a rare letter indeed ........as it is one of the few Howard letters in existence with NO present participles…..be well"
