Friends and Fellow Austin Residents –

I am running for Austin City Council to offer proven leadership in the difficult times ahead, and to deliver the kind of creative solutions that Austinites demand and deserve. My campaign will focus on protecting Austin’s environmental resources, improving public transportation, and increasing citizen engagement in city decision-making.

The current economic downturn is an opportunity for our city to get serious about addressing some of our biggest ongoing challenges, especially preserving Austin’s unique character. We need to create local jobs through environmentally responsible initiatives, and make sustainability accessible for all.

I am motivated to serve Austin by a belief that we all must take responsibility to live up to our own ideals and expectations. My record of service to our city demonstrates my ability to accomplish tangible results.

Now is the time for practical, progressive solutions. I look forward to meeting with you and hearing your concerns as we address these challenges together.
