Miaow!

I am a gorgeous, short haired tabby cat that wandered into the RSPCA in Burwood the night before I claimed my owner. I am in the prime of my life and mama’s 1st born. “Who’s da man? Who’s my no.1?” she greets me on her return from work every day. “I am! I am!” I miaow in reply as I rub my cheek enthusiastically against hers, brushing my tail under her nose excitedly - and pause 2 allow her 2 nuzzle her face into my belly as she rejoices in my regal splendour. Yes, this is our daily ritual, I kid u not.

On the positive side, I am energetic, irresistibly affectionate, passionate and intensely loyal. I display healthy independence and an innocent curiosity manifesting in fixated fascination 4 the world around me. Like when I watch mama prepare dinner 4 papa. My neighbours’ bird and rabbit will attest 2 my respectful nature also. Not once have I harmed them, in their cages behind the screen door, as I gaze at them 4 hours, salivating…

On the negative side, I can be sensitive and fret when there is discord in the home. Then again, it’s my wailing that restores the harmony. See? Where would humans be without us pets 2 mediate? I guess I also resent mama when she waves me aside saying “I don’t have time right now” and punish her by sulking and hiding 4 hours. That’s always fun. Oh, and I s’ppose I can lapse into the odd “schiz” attack, either sprinting around the house, invariably knocking over some meaningless obstruction, or scratching and kicking furiously whoever’s holding me at the time just coz I can.

My hobbies include the obvious indoors ones of destroying the sofa, leaving fur trails everywhere, and coughing up fur balls in hard-2-clean spots. Outdoors, they range from chasing anything that moves 2 challenging the other cats 2 tree climbing races and balancing manouevres on fences and roof tops. Wherever I am, what I enjoy most is napping, preening, napping, preening, and more napping n preening. In a warm, sunny location always hits the spot.

Fave foods include trout and Rowville Safeway’s bbq chicken.

Well, that’s enough. I’m really a private individual so don’t expect many more revelations beyond this. Maybe. Now . . . a yawn . . . a stretch . . . yup, time 2 chill . . . prrr . . .
