I believe in make do and mend! I love pinching my housemate's t-shirts to cut up and make into dresses. I prefer to decorate my Christmas tree with kooky handmade plushie dolls rather than shop-bought plastic-y things. I can really obsess about crochet and become absorbed for days at a stretch. I don't really plan what I'm going to make beforehand, I enjoy the freedom to make mistakes and then turn those mistakes into unique features.
