I'm an amateur photographer and enjoy taking pics of the outdoors, flowers (because they are easy), sunsets, landscape and people especially my niece and 5 nephews and family. I have so much fun doing this. It gets me moving and outdoors as much as possible.

I have a lot to learn about taking photos. I have a Canon Powershot S5 IS which takes pretty good quality photos but is not an SLR. I really got it for the zoom (12x). I can set things manually on this camera and that's my next step to learn how to take good night photos, waterfall shots, etc.

I also love the variety of great photos on this site. It's a feast for the eyes and soul.
