I am a successful young American racing driver forging a career in the world of open wheel racing. I've spent the last few years racing in some of the most competitive racing categories in the world. The 2009 season will see me returning to the United States as I challenge for the title in the Firestone Indy Lights Championship.
In 2007, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and was forced to abandon my racing program mid season. In 2008, I returned to cockpit in Formula 3 and claimed a podium finish in my first race back in the car. I continue to prove that living with diabetes does not restrict me in any way.
In 2005, I shattered the European stereotype that “Americans are not fast” by becoming the first American in 11 years to win a British Formula 3 race. I also secured two track records.
I am only one of a handful of young American drivers who have achieved such a high degree of success in Europe. With the support of my dedicated sponsors and investors, I am now turning my attention to the Firestone Indy Lights in order to Take the American Dream to Victory Lane.
