i've been taking photographs since i was twelve. it's the one thing where i permit myself to be a purist: composing in frame, discovered scenes and artefacts, no filters and no post production.

for 16 years i travelled with a canon eos 10 and the 28-105mm ultrasonic lens until a sandstorm in the sahara killed them in september 2007. now i use an eos 3 with the l-series 24-105 ultrasonic which is reputed to have better particle proofing.

i work with fujichrome provia 400 and velvia 100. i loved the provia 1600 but sadly fuji stopped making this when sports photographers abandoned film for digital.
