Birder, grandfather, professional birding tour leader, naturalist on small adventure cruise ships, but mostly retired. Photography is one way of recording life's adventures and the beauty along the way--I'm only serious about it to the extent that I want photos to accurately present what I see. A sort of visual diary of things that interest me.
I try to geo-tag all my photos. You can click "map" to find where a particular photo was taken.
Many of my bird photos will uninspire the non-specialist. The bird's context, rarity, plumage phase or personality will explain the inclusion of an objectively bad photograph!
