Beauty is often defined as symmetry, and symmetry is attractive to the human eye. Yet, it's not really about proportion. It’s about the similarity between left and right. There definitely is symmetry in the world around us, and it is important for me to show that life isn't beautiful only because of symmetry. It's the chaotic part that touches us. It's the chaotic part of beauty that speaks to our emotions. Stereotypical beauty might be attractive, but it's ordinary and might not be a reflection of real life. It isn't the beauty that opens our hearts, it's the chaos. And although it's nice to have traditional beauty around us, we as human beings are never satisfied with only that for too long. It is in our basic nature to be drawn to Chaos, as much as it is in our nature to be drawn to Beauty. Beauty may appease us, but chaos reminds us that we are alive, and gives us a sense of purpose and a sense of truth. And the one is nothing without the other.
