Hi There...
My name's Mel, and I'm a self-confessed Landscape-a-holic. (photographically speaking... ahem)
My photography never really became such a serious hobby until January 2007, when i was given a second hand D50, this changed my perspective and I immediately fell in love with the freedom it offered me. Eventually I began to grow weary of its limitations, choosing to sell my D50 and upgraded to a D200, now currently shooting with the beautiful D700. As a backup, I shoot with a Nikon D300s, and have also had some close experience with the entry-level D3000.
I have a keen eye for anything artistic, having graduated from a Bachelor of Creative Industries (vis arts). I'll take a picture of anything if it interests me, anything from Landscape, People, Urban Environments, Nature - anything I guess.
These days I can be found out and about around Brisbane/ Queensland or in a club, both with camera.
I've been involved in curating a number of exhibitions in Brisbane for various scenes, and I'm definitely enjoying putting together a show for the general public.
It's rare to find me without my camera on a weekend, I love pursuing the unknown moments out there, you never know where they will arise, and I always like to be ready.
