The mission of the Center for Progressive Urban Politics is to elect fiscally responsible, socially progressive, and competent candidates to every level of elective office, from “dog catcher to governor.” We will accomplish this goal by providing tools, training, and guidance to groups of concerned citizens in each precinct, assembly district, and congressional district across the state of California.

We believe that an election’s outcome rests in the hands of informed and active citizenry and not on the amount of money raised from special interest groups. Further, the patriotic citizens of California are ready to take their state and country back.

We recognize that our mission will not be accomplished in the space of one or two election cycles. Rather, it will take a concerted effort that may very well last decades. We are prepared to make this commitment because the lives, liberties and happiness of this and future generations depend on our success.
