The reason for doing this Flickr ?
my late father " The Gaffer " never got to show off his photographs before he died, now he and his photographs are gone, and he had more than 20 shoe boxes full, i know cos i filled them for him, and to be honest i miss the gaffer very much and so im determined i will share my photos so that other people may enjoy the things Ive seen as much as i did when i saw them Still trying to get them right :-) ...........

As you will see, as im getting older i want to spend more time chasing Buses and visiting Wales, which is where my heart really longs to be, Still trying to get them right :-)
it would be good to find some WELSH friends, especially couples so that my wife feels the warmth of Wales aswell, and maybe we can meet up on our trips over to Snowdonia / Gwynedd area, who knows, maybe one day we may move over there full time, and then it is my intention to try and learn some welsh............

Most of what I shoot though, is for the memories and not so much art. I'm still very much a beginner and have a lot to learn.

I was a DJ for 4 years in the mid 1990's, and would love the opportunity to do it again, sadly at 48 i doubt its ever going to, but if i dont put myself in the shop window, nobody else will, i have only ever wanted to do it, because i love to play music for ppl, its not for fame, and its not for fortune, i dont care for money its vulgar, all i want is to bring pleasure to ppl through Radio.

I have FINALLY taken delivery of an INHERITED 009/HOe model railway, well i say model railway, it never actually worked, and the baseboard was scrapped in 1979, the remainder lived on displayed behind glass for 30+ years, a few items it would appear were sold, so now i have the remainder and intend to display it, whilst collecting enough rolling stock, track and locos to begin building a railway, though i do need some help and advise over where to purchase 009/HOe stuff, if anybody has any interest or specialist knowledge please make contact via EMAIL

im obviously into railways, for me there are only 2 railways, SEVERN VALLEY RAILWAY were 46443 & 43106 live in Shropshire & Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales, were the Double Fairlies live and in particular Merddin Emrys, double Fairlie No.10, im also collecting any and all information on the old LNWR/LMS HABOURNE BRANCH, which has been gone some 40 years now, yet it still holds a great deal of secrets from me and i dont like secrets,
i live not far from the branch itself, so please please please if you have any pictures or genuine information please tell me, especially if you have details of the run-away that led to the only derailment, any pictures of the plate-layers trains or demolition crews at work at the very finish of the branch's life, or maybe the SLS Special that was top and tailed by Ivatt 2MT's the ONLY time an Ivatt 2MT ever traversed the branch.

I am interested in the
Ford/Alexander s midibuses that once roamed the streets of solihull, the last ones ran in service nearly 30 years ago in 1980 when i was 16, now at 48 im trying to build up a history of them from there days with WMPTE to the time they became Razor Blades, they were our transport too and from school, and we spent a lot of time with them,
if anybody has any information on these please leave a message,

im also very much a fan of the Metro rider minibuses, WEST MIDLANDS had nearly 100 of them i know 1 has been preserved and a number scrapped, but actual details are rather sketchy, if anybody has accurate information on these please leave me a message or a link.

I WOULD LOVE BE A PART BUS OWNER OR BECOME INVOLVED IN SOME WAY WITH A BUS GROUP, I HAVE A PASSION FOR BUSES FOR THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND

that's me really, i dont like pictures of me and NEVER allow them to be taken, the only photos of me in recent times are from when i got married.....

im extremely private and hate anybody knowing who i am or where i am, i prefer to walk among people knowing who they are, but they dont know who is standing next to them, almost invisible, and luckily i dont seem to end up on many peoples pictures even when we are both at the same place at the same time, but, i am proud of my photographs and knowledge, it's taken me my whole life to gain this knowledge.

since January 2009, all NEW photos, headed "DSCFxxxx" are now taken using a FujiA850 Digital Camera so pics will usually be uploaded within hours of taking, if not then the next available day..........

From January 2010, all NEW pictures taken using a Fuji A180 10.2mp Digital Camera, as the A850 is now awaiting repairs, as always pictures will be uploaded within hours of taking, if not then the next available day - ENJOY !

from July 2010 im also now using YOUTUBE, as full length videos cannot be posted on here, but they can there, pop over and have a look if you like my videos ?
