I hope you enjoy viewing my images as much as I have enjoyed making them. I am a researcher by day, but when I find the time, I often turn my eye to fine art photography.

 

I find photography to be a relaxing and contemplative craft, whether it be nature or urban landscapes. Most of the time, I bring my tripod, partly because the way the tripod-mounted camera slow down the process, and increase my awareness of the subject, and partly because long exposures and careful composition can help me visualize my intentions. To get extremely long exposures, I often use black industrial glass in front of my lens. For the final print, I use selective burning and dodging in the development of the image.
