I am a married mother of three boys ages 12, 16, & 19. I just became Scoutmaster to the Boy Scout troop that my two younger boys belong to. I am also returning to school to get my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts. I do promotional work for a rock band here in Madison, which includes poster layouts, website design, keeping their calendar, and a variety of other duties. I also, obviously, do all of their photography for promo photos and live shows.

I am still trying to find my niche in photography, but I am enjoying the process. My main camera is my relatively new Olympus E-Volt E-500 digital SLR, which I love. I also have a Minolta film SLR which I still use also. I enjoy a shooting a variety of subjects, but tend to lean towards live musician performance, my cats, animals, nature, and of course the obligatory sunsets and sunrises (when I can drag myself out of bed early enough!).

I got into photography as a child, when I received a camera for my 8th grade graduation. I was in Photo Club in high school, and have never been without a camera for more than a few weeks. In the last few years I started getting serious about photography, but for the most part, I just pretty much "wing" it, and don't follow too many rules. I have found that some of my favorite photos have been taken when I wasn't thinking about the rules, and just going with the feeling.

I consider photography a constantly evolving journey that really has no end or destination.
