I love making images that invite the viewer to think -- and I also love to make art that is just plain fun. I invite people to view my work and hopefully enjoy the images as much as I had making them; and to tap into their own life experiences to see parts of themselves in the common things we all share.
I have been photographing and creating art for over 20 years. My immediate love for photography began as a teenager when I learned how to use my parent's 35mm camera. Eventually, I studied at Ball State University and earned a BFA in Fine Art Photography.
My personal work has been exhibited in group and one-man shows in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and the world at-large online.
One of my photo professors once told me the life of an artist is a long and difficult row to hoe; he was right. Creating images is a part of each day; one day at a time. Hopefully you get more good days than bad.
I have worked in the publishing industry as a proofreader, graphic artist, photo scanner, photographer, photo researcher, photo editor, archivist, and currently work as a rights manager in Higher Education publishing.
