My passion for photography started at an early age with my first camera, an Olympus Trip. Following that, came a Zenit AM2 and then a Canon EF-M.

A shift from enthusiast to a more professional approach to Digital Photography was motivated by the need to document and showcase my wife's jewellery creations. The challenge to capture forms and patinas of metals provided an opportunity to develop a wealth of understanding in this area – and to specialise.
More recently, I have enjoyed delving into the world of Interior Photography. For me, this provides a fantastic integration of a life-long interest in history of architecture with my passion for photography. Living in the South of France, not far from the Spanish border, provides a huge range of architectural styles from Roman to Moorish, Gothic to Neo-Gothic and French Renaissance. Opulent residences from the mid 1800s make wonderful fodder for the hungry enthusiast.

It is with enormous relish that my experience from a career spent largely in the I.T. industry is now integrated with the world of digital photography. My unrelenting interest in the technical aspects of today's computer based post-processing is now partnered with the consideration of light and colour and its relationship to composition in artistic impressions.

I believe in achieving a natural balance between what you see through the lens and enormous capabilities of computer post-processing. My goal is to combine these two disciplines sympathetically.
