An Introspective on an existential attitude


I'm exactly the same as everyone else, only different.

I could provide a deeply detailed account of who I am today, but it just might change by tomorrow. The one constant upon which anyone can rely is that I will continue to live all aspects of my life passionately. Love is always better than like, and mediocrity is meant for those who are asleep. I surround myself with people who inspire me and make me double over laughing.

I am not a photographer. If you are looking for exquisite works of fine art, my photostream would be like walking into the wrong washroom at busy bar on a weekend. The foundation of my ability is comprised of two major principles: a) removal of the cap and; b) keeping the fingers out of the lens while taking the picture. The rest is luck and good battery management. I'm sure the artsy-types that unwittingly find themselves lost in my Flickr cul-de-sac probably don't struggle with pocket lint and lip gloss impeding the perfection of their photographs. However, THEY, quite likely, would have never captured a guy wearing a "handmade" Fruit of the Loom thong in Punta Cana, so I feel I have a place among the Flickr masses.

I will forever be a student in just about everything I do. Each new person I meet teaches me something of value; some lessons are about others, but most are about myself. In the end, as long as I don't end up in detention, it's been a good day. I was taught from a young age that biting was unacceptable, and I continue to read books that reiterate that fact. Being nice to others doesn't make me an angel; it just makes me the safer option when faced with public transportation. I, however, prefer to fly.
