"steve is a fantastic photographer, and a wonderful teacher. I've been taking photos for a few years now with no real understanding of the technical aspects of photography. I took his 'intro to digital photography' workshop and now I feel like I could pick up an slr with confidence. his portraits are some of the best that I've ever seen- his knowledge of lighting amazes me.

meeting someone so accomplished could have been really intimidating but he's a very down-to-earth guy- I had such a fun time learning from him. I'm planning to take more of his workshops and I'd recommend them to anyone!

he's truly passionate about what he does and it shows in the way that he teaches, and in the photos he takes. I'm glad to have met him and look forward to following his work for a long time."
