  Why we like a certain person, and dislike another one?
  What is the true reason we feel so good when we met someone?
  A lovely smile? A sweet face’s expression? Humor, culture?
  I really don’t know, maybe most are important.
  And what’s happen when we are very far from a person – if you consider only distances – but you feel near them even you never see your face personally, hug or at least shake hands with this person?
  What is the magic of friendship?
  
  I had no idea what I was find in a Flickr site, maybe only a chance to share beautiful images with a personally view from people around the world, and discover wonderful places there I probably never will visit, but now I’m sure I found much more than I expected: an special, brave, lovely, talented and wonderful woman...
  
  She is Carol, my friend!

  Her kindness makes me feel so happy and enchanted, and since we start our grateful friendship, it was a pleasure to me to share with her my opinion about many things, my daily tasks, my travels, my feelings. It’s wonderful!
  
  Her comments about Flickr’s photos are - more than everything else – direct, honest, but always kind and gracious, giving encouragement and a lot of tips to her Flickr’s friends.
  I feel so good when I receive her amazing mails, and I really love her photos - showing her face, her invited home, very beautiful paintings, and precious and colorful flowers and trees photos. Sometimes I recognize my own preferences inside your images…
  But my fav are her wonderful butterflies, like elegant and charming ladies dancing in a Ballroom…
  
  I’m worry when I imagine she is not very well …Actually, I think it was not necessary to read her captions to know her feelings - just take a look on her photos is enough for me: the angle, perspective, scene or theme, the intensity of colors (or absent…), everything give me a clue… 
  Maybe I’m a foolish and pretentious, but I feel this way… 
  
  She is an artist with sensibility, her paintings are beautiful and expressive, she has a special talent using a colorful palette (and it is not an easy task)…
  Always I admire her paintings I tell to myself: This beautiful, lush and vibrant painting is perfect in a white wall, nothing more is necessary to decorate a room with class and elegance…
  
  She is a brave and wonderful woman!
  Carol gives to all her Flickr’s friends a wonderfull and important lesson:
  
  “Trying to learn” is a beautiful way to never close the doors of our lives…"

  "What I love about Carol and her work, is that she's always trying; constantly trying new things: new hobbies, new adventures, new angles, new subjects, new processes. When we were both nervous about posting photos of our faces, I took a few timid steps forward--and Carol (bravely took the plunge) and posted her anniversary photo; I finally got up the nerve to show my entire, unveiled face; Carol displayed a scan of her own. Seriously, how many women over age sixteen who will try that in today's appearance-obssessed world.
  
  Her images are lush with color and vibrancy; macros of flowers and insects in such detail, I can make out the tiniest veins in their (respective) petals and wings. Among my favorites though are her paintings, because it's yet another side of Carol's amazing and wonderful desire to create--huge canvases awash in sometimes dreamy colors and gentle, sloping curves; other times with bold, bright shades and copositions in cubism.
  
  Carol is an artist without limitations--a fact one can discern just by reading her username for she is always "trying to learn."
  
  I would also like to say to you personally, C.: "Thank you so much for reaching out and welcoming me to Flickr when I arrived just a few months ago. I had no idea what I was doing, or even if I wanted to stick with it; you were one of the first people here to extend the hand of kindness and friendship, and you are a huge part of why I've chosen to stay. Thank you for all the help, encouragement, tips, support, and wonderful Flickr mails you've given. May we both have many more to come. :)"
