i used to live in leeds where my love of music photography was born. i moved to amsterdam (in nov 2010) to become a book editor at frame publishers (www.framemag.com). in the time when i'm not working, i will be clicking that shutter at gigs and festivals, or anywhere my camera might take me.

i'm a little bit lazy when it comes to sorting out my photos. i do a music-photo-blog here and there is another fledging blog here.

all the sets of gig photos are more-or-less in chronological order, with some other random sets sprinkled in between - most of the non-gig-stuff appears at the end of my set list. i've also grouped some sets together in the music vs non-music collections.

my photos have been published in music magazines (artrocker, sandman, nme, fact magazine, vibrations), newspapers (the guardian, metro) and on various websites including leedsmusicscene.net, drownedinsound.com, mtvu.com and bbc.co.uk/leeds. since moving to amsterdam, my shots have also been featured on the website of dutch music magazine OOR and on bamshakalah!, the belmont bookings' blog (my musical family away from home) (see links below).

i currently am a contributor to the drownedinsound.com in-photos section (launched in 2009); see the links below. i've also had my photos included in an artrocker magazine (music) photo exhibition in london, uk in 2006 (artrocker link here; the exhibition website long since disappeared) and in a unique (non-music) exhibition in lausanne, switzerland in 2007 (info here). also, more recently i had a photo in an exhibition at the 'urban explorers festival' in dordrecht, holland in 2010 (link here). one day i plan on organising a photo exhibition, either on my own or with pals (in leeds, amsterdam or elsewhere) - anyone fancy it?? (amsterdam one in the pipeline... now just need to think of a venue...!)

i mainly do gig photography and have in the last couple of years been doing some band promo shoots too. i also like non-music photography and have done two book projects with my photos (via blurb.com) (neither of which are gig-photo-related...one day i'll do one).

i don't have any musical abilities myself, although i did sing in the choir on the iliketrains song 'the beeching report' and i do want to play the glockenspiel on stage with a band for one night only.
