Cooking and being in the kitchen is my comfort zone. I love cooking for others, seeing their faces when they enjoy it is the best feeling in the world! I hope to open my own cafe after having worked in the industry for over 18 years now! (since leaving school) It's a job i have always enjoyed, working front of house and sneaking in back to learn the tricks of the trade in the kitchen! I did do my commercial cookery training, but at the time (age 25) i was unwilling to go back to a trainee's wage >.< so i took what i learned and use it everyday!

Currently unemployed due to the fact i'm waiting on permanent resident status and therefore using that opportunity to bake my socks off, on a budget! My husband is VERY happy with that =)

Some recipes are my own or my family's, some are mistakes that actually turned out, some i was inspired by from my fellow bloggers and flickrers! All of whom are given credit and links back to theirs. I look forward to learning more from them all, as i already have, and sharing as i go!

I have a flickr flutterbycharlie but my cooking was taking over the photostream, so i saved this little nook for my cooking adventures, and can focus more on life itself back over at flutterby's.
