I bought my first real camera a couple of years ago in the fall of 2007. It was a Canon 40D. A big, beautiful, expensive digital camera. Shortly thereafter I was reading everything I could about photography. Learning about photography traditionally involves learning to shoot, develop, and print black and white film. I just had to give it a go so I bought my second camera- a 1937 Leica IIIa. That camera is a thing of beauty but at that time I couldn't even figure out how to load it.
I love classic cameras. What am I saying?! I love all cameras. I have ten of them now and many lenses, but only the two mentioned above and a Leica CL cost more than $200. I use all of my cameras. I have even customized and fixed some of them.
Photography is just a hobby for now, but I'm passionate and I intend to make some beautiful and interesting photographs and art. Maybe someday I can make money at it.
