In the past few years purely due to digital I have started shooting Football and Cricket and opened up a whole new and enjoyable area of photography

I have my West Midlands League Football shots regularly published in the local press

I have been photographing for about 36 years starting off with an Olympus Trip and working my way through Chinon and Nikon manual Focus SLRS before moving over to Canon with autofocus
I stayed with Canon and moved over to digital about 6 years ago.
My photography has always been a personal thing in that I photograph what I like and don't really try to follow trends,as a result I have loads of Steam Railways,Canals (The Black Country and its minor neighbour (Birmingham) has more miles of canals than Venice) and assorted landscape.

For my sins I am a Wolves fan of some 49 winters now but due to the cost and the fact that I cannot stand the circus that is the EPL I watch a local league team (AFC Wulfrunians FC) who play in the West Midlands league and over the past couple of years I have become the club photographer

In 2001 I had a heart attack and an experience like that makes you so appreciative of what you see through a viewfinder and grateful that you still have the strength to press the shutter release.
