CAPSULA / Ulla Taipale's photostream  

Capsula is a curatorial research group whose interests focus on the meeting point between art, science and nature. It was launched in 2005 by two independent curators, Monica Bello Bugallo and Ulla Taipale. Since 2009 Monica works as a artistic director of VIDA, the Art and Artificial Life International Competition at Fundación Telefónica and Ulla continues working under Capsula, collaborating with other cultural workers and cultural institutions internationally. Capsula has curated and produced events for CCCB (Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona), El Matadero/Cultural Centre of Madrid City, El Laboral/ Centre for Art and Industrial Creation in Spain, Pixelache Festival and Kiasma in Finland, among others. Currently Capsula is working in two ongoing projects, Curated Expeditions and Halikonlahti Green Art Trilogy. Several projects by Capsula have enhanced collaborations between cultural and scientific institutions.
