Dark Shrimp - Love Sensation EP



'Love Sensation' ist die Debut EP von Dark Shrimp, einem französischen Musiker, der seinen Stil und Klang selbst irgendwo zwischen Laurent Garnier und St. Germain ansiedelt. Ein ungewöhnlicher Mix aus Electronic, Jazz und Club. Er ist kein 'Frischling' mehr in der Musikszene; die Bühne gehört schon seit einigen Jahren zu seinen Lieblingsorten. Auch ein komplettes Album wird es dieses Jahr auf CD noch von ihm geben 'Crossways' - was auf sein bevorzugtes Wirkungsfeld
hinweist; das Mischen von allerlei Genres. Ein kleiner Vorgeschmack also ist diese EP, welche drei sehr unterschiedliche Remixes des musikalischen Themas von 'Love Sensation' mit dem Original in einem Paket vereint; trancig, chillig, elektronisch. Gut 20 Minuten tanzbare, abwechslungsreiche Musik unter der Schirmherrschaft des 'dunklen Krustentieres'.



'Love Sensation' is the debut EP from Dark Shrimp, a French musician who settles his own style and sound somewhere between Laurent Garnier and St. Germain. An unusual mix of Electronic, Jazz and Club. He is not a rookie in the music scene, since a couple of years the stage is one of his favorite places. As a result of this, a full album will be available this year on CD: 'Crossways'. This will point to what is his preferred field; blending all sorts of genres. A little sneak-in so is this EP, which brings together three very different remixes of the musical theme of 'Love Sensation' with the original in one package; trancy, chilled, electronic. Peyman Shabani - Fly With Me EP



'Fly with me' ist sicher Shabani's Aufforderung an den Hörer, ihm in's Land des Trance zu folgen. Kräftig farbenfrohe und kontrastreiche Landschaften bieten sich dem Ohr beim Überflug. Es geht vorwärts im schnellen Tempo und führt vorbei an harmonischen Flächen, Bergspitzen aus steilen Pluck-Sounds, glitzernden Mellow-Flüssen. Gut 25 Minuten dauert die Reise und beschert uns neben dem Titelsong 2 Abstecher zu 'Evolution' und 'Memories'.



'Fly with me' is Shabani's invitation to his listeners to follow him into the land of Trance. Vividly colorful and contrasting landscapes reach the ear as you fly above them. Propelled by a thrusting tempo, passing over harmonic fields, across steep gorges plucked from sound, and over glistening rivers of melody. The journey takes a good 25 minutes, through the tracks 'Evolution' and 'Memories', bringing us eventually to the title track. Such a fantastic trip!

Hablift - Rising Sun EP




Sehr sequentiell, sehr strukturiert, keine überfüllten Klangexperimente, eine gerade Linie. Beinahe hypnotische Arpeggien, kurze Harmoniefolgen und entspannte Arrangements, die nicht versuchen, pompös zu wirken. Fast schon chillig möchte man diesen musikalischen Blick auf den Verlauf der Sonne nennen. Desweiteren gesellt sich 'Night Drive' dazu, ein ähnlicher Track im Stile von 'Rising Sun', welcher in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Producer Ruffault entstand.





Very sequential, very structured, no cluttered sound experiments… a straight line. Almost hypnotic arpeggios, a short series of harmonies and relaxing arrangements. Nothing at all pompous. One might justifiably call this musical take on the movement of the sun 'chilled'. In addition, the EP includes the not dissimilar 'Night Drive', created in collaboration with the producer Ruffault.

Hinter CJ Prometey steckt ein Musiker, der Parallelen sieht zwischen sich, seinem Leben, seiner Obsession und dem Mythos Prometheus. Wie sind seine eigenen Worte?

"Er ist keine Legende. Er ist nur ein Mensch! Doch auch in seiner Seele brennt ein Feuer, das sich wie mit züngelnden Flammen aus Gefühlen nährt, aus Verzweiflung, aus Zeiten der Schwäche, aus Hoffnung und dem Glauben an das größte Licht, dem schönsten auf der Erde - der LIEBE! Seine Musik ist sein Leben, ein ständiger Kampf mit sich selbst. Also, lauschen wir nach diesen Worten dem Album, welches seinen Namen trägt und neben kraftvollem und sehr melodischem Trance auch andere Töne und Rhythmen anschlägt; Downbeats, Breaks und sogar etwas Housiges erreicht in über 80 Minuten das Ohr des Hörers. Der Funke schlägt sicher schon nach wenigen Takten über, spätestens bei eingängigen Harmonien wie in 'May', oder den 'shaky' Beats von 'Advent' wird es ein unaufhaltbarer Steppenbrand sein!


In CJ Prometey we find a musician envisioning parallels between himself, his life, his own obsessiveness and the myth of Prometheus. In his own words:
"No legend Prometheus, merely a man! But a man in whose soul burns a fire that vanquishes weakness and despair with flames born of hope and faith in the greatest light, the most beautiful on earth… the LOVE! His music is his life, a constant struggle with himself; his soul, an endless road the heart is wandering on, with confident steps beating a precise rhythm, the rhythm of Trance."
So, after these words let's enjoy the album, which bears the name of the man whose soul is aflame. An 80-minute aural flight featuring powerful, thoroughly melodic trance rhythms, plus excursions into downbeat, breaks and even some housey stuff. After only a few bars the spark catches light. On reaching the catchy harmonies of 'May' and the 'shaky' beats of 'Advent', it has become unstoppable like a prairie fire!

Dieses Album vereint sehr verschiedene Einflüsse; elektronische Elemente, ethnische Klänge, sehr langsame aber kraftvolle Downbeats, aufreibende Harmonien, teils sehr experimentelle Geräuschkulissen. Daraus ergibt sich ein sehr eigenwilliger, aber auch unverwechselbarer Stil. Die Musik dieses Werkes entstand unter dem Flair sehr alter, aber mittlerweile über das Maß belebter russischer Städte. Es spiegelt den großen Unterschied der momentanen, hiesigen urbanen Lebensatmosphären und der auf dem Lande wieder. In den Städten fehlt die für ein gesundes Leben notwendige Ruhe, die menschliche Freiheit. Hört man genau hin, erkennt man, wie Kulturen, Alltag, Ereignisse und Gedankenwelten in immer engere Räume komprimiert werden, die Inseln für die freie Entfaltung des Geistes unter der Flut eines Meeres aus Banal-Informationen langsam verschwinden...

'LaFrance, la Pologne et la mer Baltique' war ursprünglich der Plan der sommerlichen Reiseroute des Mastermind hinter diesem Projekt. Was daraus geworden ist, wir wissen es nicht. Jedenfalls muss es wohl ausreichend Inspiration für den Titel dieser EP und seine Klanglandschaften geboten haben. Hinter dem Mix aus Progressive Trance mit einer kräftigen Prise Elektro-Klängen könnte sich auch durchaus der Wunsch nach einem verlängertem Sommer-Feeling verbergen. Jede Menge Energie und Tanzbarkeit, fordernde Drumsets und jede Menge Synths in Feierlaune sind unüberhörbar. Zusätzlich spendiert uns dieses Release einen zweiten Titel für exzessiven physischen Workout; 'Domination'. Ein heftig treibendes Teil mit einer faszinierenden Stimme direkt aus Kalifornien, Farisha! Von der wir sicher noch mehr hören werden...


'LaFrance, la Pologne et la mer Baltique' was originally drawn up as a summer holiday itinerary in the mind’s eye of John B. Sky. What happened to that is anybody’s guess. It did, though, provide its masterly producer with his inspiration for this EP’s title, as well as its thrilling soundscape. Concealed within the mix of progressive trance with a strong electro infusion we can feel the yearning for a long summer getaway: lashes of energy and danceablility, driving drum sets and lots of celebratory synths. In addition, we thought to extend your total physical workout with a second title called 'Domination'. Its violently kicking tune introduces a fascinating voice direct from California. That of Farisha, of whom we are sure to hear more...

The Hymn Of Jabulani - Elektronalin



Jabulani ist nicht nur der Name für ein Stück HiTec-Kunststoff, welcher zu einem Fußball verschweißt wurde, sondern ein wichtiges Symbol für ein aktuelles, sportliches und vor allem friedliches Zusammentreffen der menschlichen Vielfalt unseres Planeten. Aufgrund dessen hat sich der Künstler Elektronalin dazu aufgefordert gefühlt, ein modernes, hymnenartiges Musikstück passend zum Mega-Event zu kreieren. Natürlich hat er sich dabei bezüglich Klang und Stil wieder vom 'WeltMeister' der Synthies, J.M.Jarre, inspirieren lassen.



Jabulani is not just the name for a piece of hi-tech plastic, which is welded to a football, but an important symbol for a sporty and all above this peaceful encounter between the human diversity of our planet. Because of this background, the artist Elektronalin felt called to create a modern, anthemic piece of music, suitable to this mega-event and common feeling. Regarding sound and style, typically of course, he was inspired again by the 'world's champion' of the synths, J.M.Jarre.

ChunKi - Beauty of Nature


Nimm eine Prise von Mozart's Leichtigkeit des Notenflusses, etwas von Chopin's Schwermut in den Harmonien, laß elektronische Arpeggien einfließen und du erhälst einen sich festbeißenden Ohrwurm. So geschehen bei diesem Release. Natürlich wurde hier nicht bei den alten Meistern 'geborgt',
aber man ist unweigerlich versucht, dies zu denken. Trotz seiner Tanzbarkeit und Klänge im Stile dieser Zeit, schwebt ständig ein zarter Hauch von Klassik über dem Thema des Titels. Und tatsächlich läßt es den Hörer spüren, daß in unserer lauten Welt der Technik die Natur direkt mit allem
verflochten ist. So steht auch ständig hinter den 'Maschinenklängen' immer das sehr 'organische' Thema von 'Beauty of Nature'. Was, wenn diese Melodie verstummt, die Natur, die uns umgibt, zerstört ist? LEBEN wir dann überhaupt noch, nur umgeben von künstlichen Klängen? Nicht vorstellbar,genauso nicht, wie dieser Track ohne das ihm Leben verleihende Thema. Es ist an jedem Einzelnen, den allgegenwärtigen, immernoch wunderschönen Klang der Natur zu erhalten, denn wir sind Teil dieser Melodie, Teil dieser Natur.Eine hinreißende Uplifting Trance EP, mit über einer halben Stunde Spieldauer, inklusive des fast 11 minütigen 'Emotional-Remix' von einem talentierten Handwerker im Garten der Klänge; OCEANIC.

BLAU ist die Farbe, welche dem Musiker G.R.O.K. am nächsten steht, welche ihn zu seiner Musik inspiriert. Gleichzeitig ist es die Farbe des Himmels, des gebrochenen Lichts im Wasser, die dominierende Farbe unseres Planeten. Auf diese Dinge bezieht sich seine Musik; eine Musik, die vorwiegend auf technischen Klängen aufbaut, aber auch jede Menge Naturgeräusche einbindet. Dies soll darauf hindeuten, daß Natur und Technik durchaus im Einklang koexistieren können - wenn man die Gesetzmäßigkeiten beider erkannt hat und ihnen folgt. Mit 'BLUE' hat der gebürtige Spanier ein Album elektronischer Musik geschaffen, welches einerseits -typisch für dieses Genre- auf Sequenzer und 'technische' Instrumentarien zugreift, andererseits zeichnet es sich auch durch sehr klassische und orchestrale Arrangements aus. Unweigerlich wird man an die 'pompösen' Konzerte eines Jean-Michel Jarre erinnert, dennoch tragen diese Partituren ihren eigenen Charakter; den von G.R.O.K...



BLUE is the color which the musician G.R.O.K. loves most and which inspires his music. It is the color of the sky, the play of light on water, the predominant color of our planet. His music relates to all these things. It is a music based primarily on technical sounds, but also integrating a lot of the natural, showing that the biosphere and technology can indeed coexist in harmony - once you have understood the laws of both and follow them. With 'BLUE', G.R.O.K., a native of Spain, has created an album of electronic music, which, on the one hand - typical for this genre - takes advantage of sequencers and 'technical' sounds, and, on the other hand, is characterized by distinctively classical and orchestral arrangements. Inevitably, it reminds of the 'opulent' concerts of Jean-Michel Jarre. Having said that, G.R.O.K.'s scores carry a character which is completely
their own.

Through The Lights EP - Anavartrap


Kräftige Arrangements und treibende Percussions leiten den tanzwütigen Musikkonsumenten durch die Klangwolken und akustische Lichterwelt, in die der iranische Produzent einlädt. Über eine halbe Stunde kann man durch progressive und upliftende Trancekompositionen gleiten und findet neben dem namengebenden Titel der EP und 2 weiteren Tracks noch einen Remix aus der Feder von Anavartrap. Nicht zuletzt gibt Armin Zamani ein Gastspiel auf diesem Release!


Power-filled arrangements and driving percussion steer the dance-crazed music acolyte through the clouds of sound and an acoustic world of lights. "Come in! come in!" the Iranian producer invites. For some half an hour you are glided through progressive and uplifting trance compositions. And, beside this title track there are two other tracks plus a remix, provided, specially by Anavartrap, for your aural pleasure. Not to mention, the guesting presence of Armin Zamani on this release!

Gedanken, tief unter der Oberfläche, Schwermut ringt mit Sinn. Mit Worten lässt sich schwer erfassen, was nur Musik auszudrücken vermag. Dies ist die Intension, der Anspruch an 'ad infinitum'; Klänge sollen sprechen, nicht Worte.
'ad infinitum' - bis ins Unendliche. Die Trauer nach Verlorenem, die Hoffnung auf das Zukünftige -
DAS ist 'ad infinitum', DAS bin ich - Matzumi.


Thoughts, deep below the surface, melancholy wrestles with meaning. Words will fail, where only music can be a valid expression. This is the intention, the demand on 'ad infinitum': let there be sound, not the word.

Above The Clouds - Zaytsev Ivan


Zaytzev Ivan is a musician and DJ, living in one of the most beautiful cities of Russia; St. Petersburg, which is unofficially known as the club capital of the whole Federation. 'Above the clouds' is his first official album, even he makes music since a long time. The music could be labelled as crossover electronic dance music with elements of Funk, Jazz, Chillout and Lounge, very organic and with a lot of musical nonconformity. Zaytsev himself says, by listening to his music you can feel a 'lightness' caused by the chilled piano-style and notes played syncopated; he prefers the term 'Downtempo'. Just listen and decide by yourself!


Zaytzev Ivan ist ein russischer Musiker und DJ, er lebt in einer der schönsten Städte Russlands; St. Petersburg, welche auch inoffiziell als DIE Club-Metropole Russlands gilt. 'Above the clouds' ist sein erstes offizielles Album, obwohl er eigentlich schon recht lange Musik macht. Sein Stil könnte als Crossover-EDM mit Elementen aus Funk, Jazz, Chillout und Lounge beschrieben werden, sehr organisch und mit viel musikalischem Nonkonformismus. Zaytsev selbst sagt, durch das Hören seiner Musik kann man eine "Leichtigkeit fühlen" verursacht durch den chilligen Piano-Stil auf der Basis synkopierter Noten; er selbst bevorzugt den Begriff 'Downtempo'. Einfach reinhören und selbst entscheiden!

ie klingt eine Mischung aus elektronischen Sounds, einer großen Ladung SciFi, hypnotischen Sequenzen und 'lieblichen' Degrader-Klängen, die einem Märchen entsprungen zu sein scheinen? Wie die musikalische Handschrift von SpaceLine! Er versteht es großartig, Trance, der schließlich 'aus einer kalten Maschine' kommt, so zu gestalten, daß es nicht nur dem ekstatischen Tanzflächeneroberer heiß in den Beinen wird, sondern selbst unter Kopfhörern im gemütlichen Liegestuhl vermittelt dieser spezielle Sound eine wohlige Wärme. Die atmosphärische Dichte, erzählerisch konstruierte Arrangements und der vornehmlich treibende Charakter dieses Albums bilden eine homogene Einheit. Selbst wenn das chillige Ende den abgehobenen Trancer nach 80 Minuten wieder in den Bereich der vollen Gravitation zurückholt, es gibt ja immernoch die REPEAT-Taste...



How does it sound? You take electronic tones, a huge helping of sci-fi, sprinkle in some hypnotic sequences and add some of that sweet Degrader-sound which seems to have sprung from a fairy tale... and mix! Such is the musical imprint of SpaceLine! He knows only too well how to make the kind of Trance which comes, as it were, from 'a cold machine'. The kind which not only sets the legs of ecstatic dance floor conquerors on fire, but just as much, through the headphones in a comfortable chair, spreads a cozy warmth. The atmospheric density, the carefully constructed narrative and, above all, the driving character of this album forms a homogeneous unit. Even if the chilling end of the album brings the trancer down to earth with the full power of gravity after 80 minutes, there's always the repeat button...

Die Großstadt und ihr nächtliches Lichterspiel haben Scotch and Grey hier musikalisch umgesetzt. Viele klangliche Details, ein zügiges Tempo und Veränderung wo man hinhört/hinschaut. Vogelzwitschern, Wasserrauschen, Regen, Gewitter, Strassenlärm... All dies und mehr findet sich in Feedback's Welt, gemischt mit elektronischen Klangteppichen, manchmal auch vibrierenden Rhythmen, zarten Percussions, erzählenden Melodien. Es ist eine Wanderung durch Wüstensand, flaches Wasser am... Meeresrand, ein Innehalten mit einem Blick aus einem Fenster in eine weite, faszinierende Welt. Chirping birds, rushing water, rain, thunderstorms, traffic noise ... All this and more can be found in Feedback's world, mixed with electronic sounds, sometimes deeply vibrating rhythms, gentle percussion, story telling melodies. It is an inspiring walk through desert sand, shallow water at the shore, sometimes a pause with a view from a window in a vast, fascinating world. Moods move from tense to calm, the scene is cleaned up once and hypnotically repetitive, sometimes full of changing details. The whole album is a promise for a voyage of discoveries. Also, it contains a very unusual 'event'; the eponymous track appears once again at the end of the album. But this version is a completely different genre; Trance! Diese 2 Jungs aus Persien beherrschen es grandios, moderne, typisch europäische Klänge und Einflüsse ihres Kulturkreises zu kombinieren. Ebenso finden sich Tonleitern, die für unsere verwöhnten Ohren sehr exotisch anmuten. Ihre Vorliebe für teilweise recht technoide und 'dreckige'... Sounds hört man in den meisten ihrer Tracks schon sehr vordergründig. Dennoch bleiben die verträumten Trance-Mellos nicht aussen vor. Zum kraftvollen Beatgewitter gibt's dann auch immer ein entspannendes Zwischenspiel der 'Uplift'igen Art. This 2 guys from Persia are fantastic in combining modern, typical eurpean sounds and influences of their own cultural basics. There are some scales, which for our 'spoiled' ears sound very unusual, exotic. Also, their preference for partially pretty 'technoid' and 'dirty' sounds you can hear in most of their tracks very in front of the mix. Nevertheless, dreamy trance melodies do not remain outside. Back to the powerful beat-storm then there's always a relaxing interlude of the 'uplift'-ing kind. In all this package has a duration of well 40 minutes mixing electronic sounds from a distant land...

Alex Rank - Spirits EP


'Spirits' setzt auf Elemente aus Trance und Electro, bezieht aber auch balladesque Arrangements ein. So fliegen dem Hörer zum einen ausdauernde Wellen aus der Bass-Sektion um die Ohren, zum anderen perlen wieder filigrane Melodien und schweben samtige Flächen aus den Boxen. Mosahar macht seine ersten Schritte bei CandyRush mit 5 Trax aus dem Bereich Trance/Progressive. Neben typischen Klängen des Genres arbeitet er auch Akzente ein, welche ihre Wurzeln im fernen Orient haben. Er setzt verschiedene emotionale Nuancen mittels der verwendeten Tonskalen um. David Leckenby - Rebirth EP

'Rebirth' ist eine Zuwendung zu ruhigen und erzählenden Klängen. Dennoch ist jeder einzelne Titel eine Aufforderung, sich mit Leib und Seele danach zu bewegen. In die EP fliessen Produktionen vergangener Jahre ein, ebenso wie neueste Schöpfungen. Der Stil bewegt sich von Deeptrance über Chill......out und Ambient, lässt dennoch soviel Raum, dass es tatasächlich schwer wird, irgendwelchen 'Schubladen' gerecht zu werden. Und das ist gut so.

'Rebirth' is dedicated the more silent and 'telling' kind of electronic music. Even though, every single track is an invitation to move to it with all body and soul. Productions of the last years as well as latest creations have taken place on this EP. The directions reaching from deeptrance over chillout to ambient. Nevertheless, still leaving so much space, to make it hard to order it to this or that 'box'. And that's a good way.
