The digital camera changed my life: My passion for photography is now an obsession of wanting to preserve those fleeting moments of beauty and joy we experience daily.

I am most at home with fellow photo nuts----my Flickr friends are very dear to me. They bring joy, laughter, friendship, and share that yearning to capture life’s moments on camera. They’ve been most helpful with insight, knowledge, and very patient with some of my experimental shots. Because of them-- and some sweat effort of my own—my artistry improves daily.

My camera is a Nikon D80 (I've upgraded to a Nikon D300s, and many shots since Oct. 2009 were taken with it-----occasionally I'll still post one from the D80)

I use top-of-the-line B & W and Rodenstock polarizer- and skylight filters

off-camera flash---SB-800, and SB-600

Software: Photoshop CS3, Lightroom, Photomatix Pro, PhotoTools Pro Suite, DCE Tools

Pictures taken prior to February 2008 were taken on a Sony DSC-H2 digital camera.
