I am a Softbill Aviculturist (keeping and breeding birds).
I believe in the breeding and keeping of birds for thier preservation for our future. Many species of birds could have been saved from extintion if they were available for Aviculturist to learn and develope proper husbandry practices. Many other species have been saved and replanted back in to thier natural envirnment because of the wounderful work of the private aviculturist. Such as the Edward Pheasant (Lophura edwardsi).
