I'm a weekend warrior with not enough time on my hands to do more of the creative work I'd love to do.

Photography has been my passion since I was 12. Looking back, it seems I've always had a camera in hand and a darkroom in the basement. I probably spent too many hours taking and processing images, but I wouldn't trade that time for anything. I loved seeing the images unfold in the red glow of the darkroom.

Digital is an entirely different world and it has helped reignite the passion I started to lose with film. In its simplest form, digital photography is about instant gratification and communication, and for most people that's good enough. I love all that, but I also love coaxing color, tone and detail out of my shots and making them look like they were always meant to be that way.

I hope you enjoy my images as much as I've enjoyed making them. And to the millions of you who are far better than me at capturing memorable moments and sublime light, thank you for all your inspiration.
